Blanc are mainly produced in this corner of south-west France, and give the region its reputation for fresh white wines.

To the north-west of Montpelier, in the north of the Hérault and the foothills of the Larzac plain, the vineyards nestle ithe foothills of the Séranne and Mont Saint-Baudille, where they cohabit with the olive trees. The altitude is approximately 160m, the soil mixture is mainly calcareous clay.

The Pays d’Hérault is hugely influenced by the river that gave it its name, the ‘Hérault’, whose spring can be found at an altitude of 1400m. It shaped the impressive canyon Gorges de l’Hérault, where streams travel over 148km to reach the sea.

The Pays d'Oc takes full advantage of the Mediterranean climate. With its coastline bordering the region in the South, providing the hot and dry summers needed for perfect maturity. The Black Mountain brings enough humidity as well as cool temperatures for the vines to produce grapes packed full of fruity aromas.
